Abstract:

61 patients (35 male, 26 female, mean age 49.4±2.9 years) operated for coronary heart disease under artificial circulation (AC) were included in the study. Patients were divided into groups depending on duration of AC: group 1 (n=22) - AC duration < 120 minutes, group 2 (n=20) AC duration > 120 minutes, control group (n=19) - myocardial revascularization was carried out without AC. It is shown that severity of acid-base disturbances and metabolic changes after operations under AC is closely correlated with AC duration. Indices reflecting multifactor homeostasis disturbances caused by AC such as hematocrit, glucose and lactate are mostly predisposed to alterations. Troponin T concentration also depends on AC duration (r=0.44, р=0.019 for group 1; r=0.58, р=0.0049 for group 2). In patients from group 2 correlation between duration of artificial lung ventilation and troponin T concentration was revealed as well (r=0.49, p=0.024).
