Abstract:

Indices reflecting myocardial metabolism in coronary bypass grafting were analyzed in patients operated under artificial circulation and pharmacologic cold cardioplegia or under parallel artificial circulation on working heart. It is estimated that myocardial revascularization under complete artificial circulation is accompanied by metabolism disturbances in myocardium to a greater extent compared with application of parallel artificial circulation without cross-clamping of aorta that doesn't lead to significant activation of lipid peroxidation in myocardium indicating the absence and/or quicker restoration of aerobic myocardial metabolism.
