Abstract The article is devoted to the first experience of using laparoscopic ultrasound (LUS). Aim — specification of indications, research of safety and efficiency of LUS. Material and methods. In the department of endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery at the RSC of Tiraspol from November 2015 to September 2018. 58 LUS were performed in the pathology of the biliary tract (n=52), liver neoplasms (n=1), kidney cysts (n=5) using a Siemens Acuson P300 ultrasound machine and a LP323 laparoscopic sensor. Results. In the process of research 10 cases of choledocholithiasis were found, 1 — choledoch neoplasm, 1 — gallbladder polyposis, 1 — perichodolchial lymphadenitis. In 5 cases, LUS was performed to control laparoscopic removal of renal cysts. As a result of the study, the indications for LUS in the pathology of the biliary tract were clarified, the need for training laparoscopic surgeons to interpret echograms and work with an ultrasound device was revealed. Complications, false positive, false negative results in the LUS process are not fixed. Laparoscopic operations associated with LUS were safe, effective, and there were no significant complications and deaths. Conclusion. The safety, effectiveness of LUS was confirmed, a system of indications for LUS was developed for suspected choledocholithiasis.
