Purpose. The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the results of morbidly obese patients treatment by the method of mini-gastric bypass via a stapler or suture manual gastroenteroanastomosis. Material and methods. In this prospective cohort study the early and remote results of surgery in 122 patients with morbid obesity were analyzed. The patients were divided into two clinical groups depending on the type of gastroenteroanastomosis technique and the gastric stump formation. The first group included 58 patients who underwent mini-gastric bypass surgery by suture manual gastroenteroanastomosis and the formation of the stump of the stomach by crossing it above the border of the antrum and from the body of the stomach with 4 cassettes 60 mm long linear stapler. In 64 patients of the control group the «traditional» technique was used via stapler gastroenteroanastomosis and the formation of the stomach stump by crossing it below the border of the antral part with 5—6 cassettes of 60 mm long linear stapler. Results. In 26.6% of cases enterogastric biliary reflux was observed in the group of patients with stapler gastroenteroanastomosis, in 15.5% of cases — in the first group of patients (p=0.18). Clinical signs of enterogastric biliary reflux according to the questionnaire were observed in both groups of patients, but the severity of these symptoms prevailed in the control group of patients.
