Prospective analysis of endoscopic transpapillary interventions from January 2008 to December 2012 has been carried out. Total number of patients was 1513. Difficult cannulation was noted in 607 (40.1%) patients: 249 (41%) males and 358 (59%) females. Total amount of transpapillary procedures in this group comprised 1887. Almost the full range of diagnostic and treatment endoscopic transpapillary interventions for biliary hypertension was applied: retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic papillotomy, endoscopic mechanical lithotripsy and lithoextraction, nasobiliary drainage, bougienage, balloon dilation, biliary stenting, endoscopic contact electrohydraulic lithotripsy of the common bile duct stones. Procedures were effective in 538 (88.6%) patients and ineffective in 69 (11,4%) patients. Complications developed in 33 (5.4%) cases.
