OBJECTIVE

To evaluate psychoemotional state of patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome under combined magnetic therapy.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

There were 186 men (mean age 43.5±2.2 years) with chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Pain nature was assessed using the “Pain Detect” questionnaire. Psychoemotional state was tested using appropriate questionnaire (questions devoted to well-being, activity and mood).

RESULTS

Neuropathic nature of chronic pelvic pain became apparent. Patients suffered from psychological problems with reduced psychoemotional reserve. Severity of pain syndrome significantly affects vegetative status and functional state of lower urinary tract changing the characteristics of urination. Combined magnetic therapy can significantly improve treatment outcomes and rehabilitation of patients with chronic pelvic pain through correction of psychoemotional health.

CONCLUSION

The Pain Detect survey data and changes in sensitivity demonstrated neuropathic pain syndrome in our patients. Patients with chronic pelvic pain syndrome have clear changes in personality characteristics. Combined magnetic therapy significantly improves treatment outcomes and psychoemotional status of patients.
