Abstract:

The comprehensive rehabilitation of the elderly patients presenting with a concurrent pathology remains an unresolved problem despite the rather widespread application of total endoprosthetic surgical methods in orthopedic practice. The present article was designed to report two clinical cases of the successful combined medical rehabilitation with the use of additional remedial factors taking into consideration the presence of the concomitant pathology in the aged patients with different duration of the postoperative period following total endoprosthetics of the knee joint. The patients were activated, taught to walk, and enjoyed a higher degree of independence in the everyday life.
