Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a reproductive, endocrine, and metabolic disorder that affects millions of women around the world. Its symptoms, including menstrual disorders, hirsutism and obesity, often appear already in late adolescence. Then problem of fertility impairment, as well as various gestational complications and diseases of the mother and fetus appear. There is evidence of a positive correlation between the content of androgens and their influence on the development of the central nervous system and autistic spectrum disorders in the offspring of mothers with polycystic ovary syndrome.
