Based on the published data, the authors present an algorithm for examining the patients suspected of having infectious diseases of the urogenital tract (UGT). The examination of 59 women with inflammatory UGT diseases associated with M. hominis has established that a differential approach to treating and following up is shown in such patients depending on the species and diagnostic titer of the pathogen, its susceptibility to antibacterial agents, the presence/absence of mutations in the 16S ribosomal RNA gene of the M. hominis strain.
