Abstract:

Review examines the problem of antibiotic resistance in dentistry in the Russian Federation and the world. An assessment was made of the relationship between the consumption of antimicrobial drugs in dentistry and the resistance of microorganisms to antibiotic therapy. The leading countries in antibiotic consumption have been identified. The errors made by dentists when prescribing antimicrobial drugs in outpatient practice are analyzed.
