Abstract:

The functional state of the patients presenting with medicamentally compensated diabetic mellitus and concomitant stomatological problems was subjectively estimated before and after the orthopedic treatment with the use of the SF-36 questionnaire. It was shown that characteristics of the quality of life in such patients after the dental prosthetic treatment were significantly higher than before it. This effect was attributable to the recovery of masticatory function.
