Abstract:

Objective. To examine the expression intensity of alphaB-crystallin, VEGF-A, VEGFR1, microvessel density in healthy women and in patients with peritoneal endometriosis in eutopic endometrium during the implantation window and to analyze the pregnancy outcome before and after the treatment. Method. Immunohistochemistry was used to study the expression of alphaB-crystallin and angiogenesis in eutopic endometrium in women with endometriosis. ELISA method was used to determine the concentration of alphaB-crystallin, VEGF-A, sVEGFR1 in serum. The study was carried out blood and endometrium before and after treatment. Pregnancy outcome in patients with endometriosis was evaluated in 6 months after the treatment. Immunohistochemical data and ELISA data were compared in women with endometriosis with and without pregnancy and healthy women. Results. АlphaB-crystallin content in the blood showed its 22 fold increase in patients with peritoneal endometriosis and pregnancy after treatment. The lowest values of alphaB-crystallin in the blood observed in healthy women. Expression levels of alphaB-crystallin in the eutopic endometrium showed that it was reduced in the epithelium of eutopic endometrial glands in patients with endometriosis and without pregnancy compared to the healthy women with pregnancy. Expression levels of alphaB-crystallin in patients with endometriosis and pregnancy were similar to those in healthy women. The content and the expression of VEGF-A and sVEGFR1 are associated with alphaB-crystallin. Conclusion. AlphaB-crystallin expression in patients with endometriosis can be used to assess endotype.
