Objective. To define the clinical significance of L-selectin levels in predicting of IVF outcomes in patients with tubal factor infertility. Methods. Prospective parallel-group trial. 120 patients (20-37 years old) with tubal factor of infertility were divided into 2 groups depending on serum L-selectin levels: group I with L-selectin <1710 ng/ml and group II with L-selectin >1710 ng/ml.  Results. Patients with L-selectin level <1710 ng/ml had increased efficiency of treatment (clinical pregnancy rate - 57.1%) compared with women with L-selectin >1710 ng/ml (clinical pregnancy rate - 14.3%; p<0.05). Conclusion. L-selectin plays an important role in implantation and pregnancy development. Serum L-selectin level can be an additional sign of functional activity of endometrium and can be used for predicting of IVF outcome in patients with tubal infertility.
