Abstract:

The diagnosis of lymphoproliferative diseases is a relevant area in the development of oncology because of their variety. The literature review gives current views on the capabilities of ultrasound diagnosis in evaluating the lymph nodes in lymphoma and on the use of ultrasound-guided multifocal trephine biopsy (core needle biopsy) for its verification. It also provides information and characteristics of the main types of lymphomas. The authors present their own results of using ultrasound-guided trephine biopsy to diagnose lymphoproliferative diseases.
