Abstract:

The paper considers the problems of organizing a female cytological screening for cancer of the cervix uteri (CCU) in the Republic of Tatarstan. For financial provision of population-based studies, a mechanism for their payment has been introduced at the expense of the funds of compulsory health insurance, by including its cost into the Regional Program of State Guarantees. The guaranteed financing of CCU screening measures is shown to have a positive impact on the state-of-the-art of cancer care to a female population with CCU.
