Abstract:

The article describes the current concepts of the pathogenesis of rosacea and notes the lead role of angioneurosis and immune changes in this disease. The use of metronidazole in the pathogenetic therapy of rosacea is justified and the results of our own case studies confirming the possibility of prolonged use of metronidazole cream are reported.
