The authors note that treatment of adverse reactions sometimes is a challenge and involves a combination of systemic and topical therapies. The preventive measures, including skin care using emollients and hypoallergenic detergents, are described. The authors draw attention to the need of observing the work and rest regimen and wearing comfortable shoes and cotton clothings. Informing the patient and properly fitted prophylactic agents help reduce the side effects of the anticancer drug and alleviate skin symptoms.
