Abstract:

By analyzing the existing approaches to treating herpes virus infections and using his experience, the author proposes to change standards for therapy of herpes simplex and zoster. Practical and pathogenetic rationales for the need for comprehensive etiopathogenetic therapy of herpes virus infections are given. Specific modifications to the existing guidelines of the Russian Society of Dermatovenereologists are proposed, which will be able to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and to relieve the clinical manifestations of the infections at any stage of their exacerbation.
