Abstract:

Involvement of inferior vena cava in patients with tumors is a surgical problem due to high probability of postoperative complications and unfavorable long-term prognosis. The authors present 2 cases of inferior vena cava resection without prosthetic materials thanks to timely assessment of collateral blood flow. This made it possible to avoid hemodynamic disorders and to achieve R0 resection.
