Abstract:

It is presented case report of successful surgical treatment of patient with infective endocarditis complicated by aortic root abscess. Patient was hospitalized with secondary subacute infectious endocarditis of the aortic valve in remission and underwent surgery 3 months after disease onset. Reconstructive intervention consisted of repair of aorto-mitral continuity, false aneurysm of the aortic root and establishment of neofibrous annulus using xenopericardial patch with subsequent aortic valve replacement. Early postoperative period was uneventful; patient was discharged after 9 days.
