Aim. To study the impact of personality disorders (somatoperceptual accentuation) on behavior of CAD patients. Material and methods. The study included 106 patients (38 women and 68 men). Mean age was 66,8±9,4 years. All patients were treated at the Clinic of Cardiology of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. Average follow-up from significant coronary event was 9,3±6,5 years. Results. Segmental depersonalization is independent major risk factor for adverse course of CAD. There were 12% of patients with such personality disorder in our sample. The main reason for unfavorable course of CAD in these patients is their disregard of all threatening aspects of cardiac disease. Psychological evaluation of patients with coronary artery disease makes it possible to pre-select patients with segmental depersonalization.
