Abstract:

The analysis of clinical and functional characteristics of hospital mortality and long-term survival of patients with coronary artery disease after coronary bypass surgery with left ventricular aneurysm and without left ventricular aneurysm was performed. The study was conducted on the basis of the register of patients operated for coronary heart disease in Chelyabinsk inter-regional cardiac center of Chelyabinsk Regional Clinical Hospital during 2000-2009. 2398 patients (2169 (90.4%) men and 229 (9.6%.) women) were included in the study Hospital mortality amounted 2% in patients without left ventricular aneurysm, and 3.6% in patients with left ventricular aneurysm with the significant effect of angina functional class and the level of left ventricular ejection fraction. Five-year survival rate of patients with left ventricular aneurysm was 76.9%, ten-year - 58.8%. It is concluded that the unifactor analysis revealed a significant effect of left ventricular aneurysm on long-term survival in patients after coronary bypass surgery, but multivariate analysis showed that age, functional class of heart failure, left ventricular ejection fraction and left atrial size had greater importance.
