Abstract:

Aortal valve cusp replacement operation using xenopericardium (non-carcass neovalve formation) was worked out by experiment. One, two or three aortal valve cusps were replaced using xenopericardium in isolated specimen (porcine hearts). Aortal complexes with neocusps were tried in experimental stand. Aortal neovalves showed safety and perfect hydrodynamic features in experiment. Templates for cutting cusps out of xenopericardium for aortic valve replacement were experimentally worked out and produced. Aortal valve cusp replacement operation using xenopericardium can be recommended for clinical application.
