Abstract:

Impact of prodoxolol and metoprolol on post-infarction left ventricle remodeling was comparatively evaluated. 60 patients aged 37-75 years (mean age 58±9 years) were included in randomized prospective trial. It is shown that therapy with prodoxolol and metoprolol in patients with prior myocardial infarction provides equal improvement of echocardiographic indices (decrease in size of left heart chambers, increase of global myocardial contractility).
