Abstract:

Results of surgical treatment were analyzed in 48 patients with acsending aorta aneurysm and concomitant aotic insufficiency. All patients underwent David operation using 2 types of prostheses: with artificial Valsalva sinuses and standard linear aortic prosthesis. Clinical evaluation of efficacy of prosthesis with artificial Valsalva sinuses was carried out in short-term and long-term periods (6-60 months). It is shown that new type of prosthesis doesn't change the classic course of extravalvular replacement, doesn't impact the duration of artificial circulation and aortic occlusion, amount of postoperative hemorrhage. Mortality in studied groups didn't statistically significant differ in short-term and long-term periods. Fuctional advantages of prosthesis are showed in comparison with ordinary linear aortic posthesis.
