The present review highlights the problems pertaining to the use of compression therapy for the treatment of primary varicosis. It includes the detailed description of the modern tools for continuous compression therapy and the reference methods for the evaluation of its effectiveness. Specifically, it is shown that elastic compression is a simple, safe, and effective instrument for the prevention and conservative treatment of varicose veins in the lower extremities that improves venous outflow and subjective feelings of the patients presenting with small pelvis varicose veins. At the same time, the available literature contains very few data on the possibility of the application of compression therapy for the management of this condition which dictates the necessity of further investigation of this issue. At present, the prescription of compression stockings and panty hose to the patients with varicose veins in the small pelvis is a matter of discussion that awaits further studies to confirm the possibility of using compression therapy for the treatment of this condition and to promote the creation of special elastic hosiery for the compression of the perineal and lower abdominal regions.
