Currently, in addition to traditional operations on the thyroid gland, minimally invasive non-endoscopic, minimally invasive video-assisted, endoscopic and robotic interventions have been developed that have found wide application in the treatment of thyroid pathology. Known at the moment classification of minimally invasive thyroid interventions introduce confusion in terminology, mixing the amount of surgical intervention with surgical methods. This translates to the inability to give an objective comparative description of the results of surgical interventions on the thyroid gland. This study presents a classification the methods of surgical treatment patients with thyroid diseases, including both open and minimally invasive interventions, which can be divided into several groups depending on various parameters. Due to this, it becomes possible to carry out an objective comparative analysis the results of treatment after operations on the thyroid gland.
