The paper provides a literature review showing the current possibilities of ultrasound study in diagnosing overactive bladder in women and in evaluating the efficiency of therapy for its symptoms. It considers the probability of using a procedure for ultrasound measurement of bladder wall thickness as an alternative to ambulatory urodynamic study in patients with symptoms of lower urinary tract dysfunction.
