The study examined a method for eliminating the lack of volume of soft tissues in the nose and upper lip area, in patients with deformity of this area as a result of the elimination of congenital bilateral cleft lip and palate, through the use of a fascial-cartilage autograft. The method was applied to 11 patients, the results of treatment and comparative analysis were carried out on the basis of clinical and instrumental studies: photometry, multispiral computed tomography, electroneuromiography. The study obtained data indicating improved anatomical and functional parameters in the study area, closer to the average normal values of indicators measuring the various angles and ratios of the maxillofacial region that were used in the reduction of bioelectric activity of the studied muscles, which is associated with a decrease in voltage by increasing the height of the projection of surrounding tissues. The study showed that the proposed method is successful, especially when there is no possibility of multi-stage surgical treatment according to accepted standards and algorithms, it can be a method of choice and significantly improve the functional and aesthetic aspects of patients in this group.
