OBJECTIVE

To summarize the data on the effectiveness and prospects of the fixed-dose combination of mometasone furoate and azelastine hydrochloride in the step-wise treatment of allergic rhinitis (AR).

REFERENCES:

A review of articles and relevant abstracts submitted to the PubMed database was performed. The publications were selected by keywords: fixed-dose combinations, azelastine, mometasone furoate, and allergic rhinitis.

RESULTS

The published results of studies suggest a beneficial effect of a fixed-dose combination of mometasone furoate and azelastine hydrochloride on the clinical presentation of AR and indicate the feasibility of using this combination in the treatment of AR in real-world practice.
