Abstract:

Thornwaldt’s cyst is a rather rare pathological condition. However, the advent of the novel endoscopic diagnostic techniques have greatly contributed to the possibility of its identification by means of the more thorough examination of the nasopharynx. The present article reports a clinical case of Thornwaldt’s cyst the analysis of which gives evidence of the necessity of a wide application of the currently available endoscopic techniques for the more comprehensive examination of all the patients presenting with diseases of the nose, paranasal sinuses, and ears.
