Abstract:

With the increasing frequency of cardiovascular diseases and high mortality from them, specialized medical care in the «cardiology» profile is highly relevant. In this regard, the problems of staffing in the healthcare system are a priority.

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the availability and staffing of medical organizations with cardiologists providing specialized medical care in inpatient settings.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

Availability and staffing of medical organizations by cardiologists providing specialized medical care in inpatient settings in the Russian Federation in the context of federal districts according to the Federal Statistical Observation Form No. 30 from 2015 to 2021 were studied. Analytical and descriptive statistical methods were used for comparative retrospective data analysis. The MSOffice Excel 2010 spreadsheets and the Statistica 10 program were used for data processing/

RESULTS

During the study period, the availability of cardiologists providing medical inpatient care increased by 12.1%. The highest availability of specialists was reported in the North-Western and North-Caucasian Federal Districts and the lowest in the Southern and Ural Federal Districts. The highest staffing of specialists was reported in the Ural Federal District and the lowest in the Siberian Federal District. At the same time, the overtime ratio remains high. The highest overtime ratios for cardiologists is observed in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts.

CONCLUSION

The personnel issues remain relevant due to the high overtime ratio and low staffing of medical organizations with cardiologists.
