One of the main problems of state public clinics is the lack of qualified and kind district physicians.

OBJECTIVE

To search for common approaches to increase the motivation of young specialists, as well as practicing district physicians to work in primary care.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The opinion of 283 district physicians about working process of clinics in Krasnoyarsk was studied based on questionnaire over a period of 2019 yr. At the same time the questionnaire of graduates of Krasnoyarsk State Medical University (2017-2019), aimed at studying preferences in the future profession, was performed.

RESULTS

The students’ interest in public health clinic is very low. Thus, it is necessary to draw more attention to informing students about the work in clinics, that will allow young professionals to understand better clinic’s features and not to be afraid of employment in future. The main points, which will increase the working motivation for practicing district physicians and attract graduates of medical universities to public health clinics, were revealed during the study. These are such factors as salary, good working conditions, friendly relationships among personnel and work schedule. At the same time, key point for graduates is the possibility of professional development and for physicians is the closeness to home.

CONCLUSION

The issue of eliminating the shortage of physicians may be solved in two ways: creating comfortable working conditions for practicing physicians and attracting clever and enthusiastic graduates of medical universities to primary health care work.
