PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
To study the impact of penitentiary working conditions on the health status of employees of the penitentiary system, depending on the length of service.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
The data of heart rate variability in 580 employees of the penitentiary system were studied. The average age of the participants in the surveyed group was 34.1 (σ=6.6) years. The ECG signal was recorded using the Varicard 2.51 complex in standard lead II, and the analysis of intervalocardiograms was performed using the Iskim-6 program. Assessment of heart rate variability among employees of the penitentiary system was carried out by groups in accordance with the length of service (up to 1 year, 1—5 years, 5—10 years, 10—15 years and over 15 years). The analysis of heart rate variability data is based on the idea of the presence of a central and autonomous heart rate control circuits, and also takes into account the ratio of the average values of MxDMn, ms; SDNN, ms; SI conv. units depending on the length of service in the penitentiary system.
RESULTS
The categories of employees of the penitentiary system, depending on the length of service, with low compensatory capabilities of the body and having a high risk of developing chronic non-communicable diseases as a result of exposure to stressful factors of service in the penitentiary system of the Federal Penitentiary Service were identified.
CONCLUSION
The results obtained indicate the presence of high-risk groups for developing chronic stress due to service in the penitentiary system, depending on the length of service. Employees belonging to these risk groups require increased attention from the centers of medical and social rehabilitation of employees and departments of psychological work with employees.
