At the time being one of the problems at the national level is the inconsistency of the human diet with the natural needs of the body which negatively affects the health of the adult working-age population of the country, leads to a deficiency of micronutrients and is aggravated by a large number of enterprises where working conditions are dangerous and harmful.
OBJECTIVE
Development of a specialized product with targeted functional properties to increase the adaptive capabilities of the body in difficult production conditions and the study of its effectiveness on the example of preparatory workshop workers of the rubber footwear plant «Tomsk ZRO».
MATERIAL AND METHODS
The study examined protein, lipid, vitamin, mineral metabolism, immune and antioxidant status of workers in the rubber industry. An assortment of beverages enriched with pectin was developed and included in the diet of workers in the main group in the amount of one glass per day (250 cm3) for 3 months.
RESULTS
During the course of diet therapy the normalization of low values of magnesium, a decrease in the amount of copper and zinc detected; there was a significant decrease in β-globulins in 19% of workers and an increase in γ-globulins in 30%; positive shifts in the indicators of the body’s adaptive reactions were revealed: the frequency of increased activation and stress decreased, the frequency of training and calm activation reactions increased. In addition, positive changes were noted in assessing the indicators of antioxidant defense systems and lipid peroxidation.
CONCLUSION
The data obtained allows concluding the effectiveness of the use of specialized drinks, enriched with pectin in the therapeutic and prophylactic nutrition of workers in the rubber industry. The research results are documented, the production of drinks is organized on the basis of a production company in Siberia.
