The possible resource for increasing life expectancy, reducing mortality, is not only a primary prevention, but also the secondary prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases, that is implemented in the primary health care system as a part of patient dispensary control. There is the important position to improve the quality of dispensary control and, as a result, reducing the number of diseases’ exacerbations, their progression, decreasing premature mortality and increasing the healthy life-expectancy.

OBJECTIVE

Quality analysis of dispensary control in regions of the Russian Federation and proposals for improving approaches of chronic non-communicable diseases secondary prevention.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The analysis of requests for medical care of citizens underwent the dispensary observation according to the monitoring data of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund out was carried.

RESULTS AND CONCLUSION

Untimely taking patients with chronic non-communicable diseases for dispensary observation is an indicator of poor quality of general practitioner work that leads to an increase in the number of emergency calls and hospitalizations, high premature mortality rates and disability.
