Abstract:

Objective — to evaluate the clinical efficacy of complex treatment of patients with chronic pelvic pain associated with endometriosis, with the inclusion of dienogest, NSAIDs, tricyclic antidepressants. Material and methods. The study included 104 women with chronic pelvic pain and histologically verified diagnosis of external genital endometriosis with I—IV degree distribution. All patients receiving therapy after surgery, were divided into two groups: 84 patients of group I received mono therapy with dienogest 2mg a day for 6 months, 104 patients of group II received complex therapy. Assessment of the neuropathic component of pain was carried out on a scale of the Pain Detect. Results. The pain Intensity had a direct correlation to the stage of distribution of external genital endometriosis. The average value of pain significantly more decreased 6 months after treatment in the group of patients receiving combined therapy compared with monotherapy. Conclusions. Pain Detect Questionnaire allows to plan pathogenetically based treatment of chronic pelvic pain associated with endometriosis that helps to reduce the frequency of recurrence of pain and improve treatment outcomes.
