Objective — evaluation of the effect of oral contraceptives with estradiol valerate and dienogest (E2V/DNG), designated for the purpose of contraception, on the profile of menstrual bleeding and endometrial morphology in women with recourent loss of pregnancy and chronic endometritis (CE). Material and methods. 130 women 20—43 years old with miscarriage on 7—10 weeks of pregnancy and CE. All patients were combined in two groups: I group (n=88) with normal menstrual blood loss used cyclic hormonal therapy: transdermal form of estradiol hemihydrate 1,5 mg per day from 7 to 26 day of cycle and dydrogesteron 10 mg per day for patients with relative progesterone failure or micronized progesterone per vagina for women with absolute progesterone failure II group — 42 women with heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB). Results. In 35.7% of cases the duration of menstrual bleeding decreased up to 2 days with an average volume of 19.7±2,4 according to Yanssen scale (p<0.00001from the baseline). Other patients showed a duration of menstrual blood loss from 3 to 6 days with an average volume of 52.3±6.63 according to Yanssen scale (p<0.001 from the baseline). The inflammatory response of endometrium was reduced in 85.7% of patients used E2V/DNG, the same indicator was 38.6% for II group. Conclusions. The results indicate a decrease in volume of blood loss and relief of inflammatory processes in the endometrium of women with CE needing contraception and receiving E2V/DNG after a course of causal treatment. Further studies are needed to evaluate the modulating action of E2V/DNG on endometrial receptor status in women with CE.
