Abstract:

Modern views on the role of polycystic ovarian syndrome in infertility are discussed basing on both Russian and  international literature. The data regarding risk factors, aetiology, pathogenesis as well as special features of clinical manifestations and diagnostics of polycystic ovaries are presented. General trends in the treatment of infertility in women with the polycystic ovarian syndrome and complications prevention are discussed.
