The purpose of assisted reproductive technologies is the birth of a healthy baby. With the current requirements is achieved by the selection and transfer only healthy embryos into the uterine cavity. The authors reviewed and comparatively analysed of the modern genetic diagnostic methods applicable in assisted reproductive technologies and. It was shown that the most informative is the method of genomic hybridization CGH (Comparative Genomic Hybridization), allowing to evaluate all chromosomes of the blastomere. This method is more capabilities than fluorescent hybridization (FISH) allowing to study only a several chromosomes. In the own studies, the authors presented that the chorion of the missed abortion need the diagnosis by CGH, for study all the chromosomes and determine the cause of the missed abortion. However, the introduction of CGH, as a method of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, the number of ART cycles with embryo transfer is reduced, but at the same time, it allows you to select a healthy embryo for transfer and than for birth of the healthy baby.
