Abstract:

OBJECTIVE

To evaluate the possibilities of using the surgery training simulator «Zarnitsa» in the development of surgical video endoscopic skills by students, residents and surgeons.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

Information about the results of mastering high-tech surgical video endoscopic skills by students using the «Zarnitsa» simulator was obtained by interviewing 62 schoolchildren, 32 students and residents, 31 young surgeons.

RESULTS

The generalized results show that the «excellent» grade was most often found in schoolchildren, 2nd year students and circle members with residents, schoolchildren received the «excellent» grade more often than other groups. This is due to insufficient personal experience both on various simulators and in the clinic.

CONCLUSION

Obtained data show that the use of a laparoscopic simulator (“Zarnitsa”) is appropriate for teaching high-tech surgical video endoscopic skills a students and a residents and a surgeons.
