From August 9 to August 11, 2019, London hosted a regular Congress of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA) (the 19th Congress of the IFAA), which was attended by the Russian delegation headed by Professor S.S. Dydykin, Head of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, Sechenov University, Vice-President of the All-Russian Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists and Embryologists. The highly topical congress program touched upon the important aspects of modern morphological science, classical and innovative teaching methods, including the use of social networks, a virtual environment and a simulated exam, ethical issues, and the possibilities of artificial intelligence and neural networks in anatomy. In addition, at the past General Assembly of the Federation, elections were held to choose a country to host the next congress, which would be the Republic of Korea, the Heads of the Committees and the Treasurer made their reports, and new directions of the Federation’s work were outlined.
