Currently, pancreatic cancer remains one of the most unfavorable for patients and challenging for oncologists. Due to the rather late manifestation, locally advanced and generalized cancer of this localization occurs in more than 75% of patients during primary diagnosis. According to available domestic and foreign clinical recommendations, surgical intervention (except for symptomatic intervention) is not indicated in such patients, the main method of treatment in these situations is systemic chemotherapy. In patients with impaired functional status, the gold standard is gemcitabine monochemotherapy, which is satisfactorily tolerated by patients, but has very limited effectiveness. In order to increase the effectiveness of systemic antitumor drug therapy in patients with pancreatic cancer, the possibility of additional high-intensity focused ultrasound therapy has been actively studied in recent decades. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the possibilities of antitumor treatment in the scope of monochemotherapy and high-intensity focused ultrasound therapy on a low-energy device HIFU-2001 (Shenzhen Huikang Medical Apparatus Co., LTD, China, 2015) in a somatically weakened patient with locally advanced adenogenic pancreatic cancer. The described clinical case demonstrates a tendency to expand the pool of cancer patients who can receive high-tech medical care, as well as the promising possibilities of modern methods of antitumor treatment to improve the quality of life of somatically weakened patients and increase its duration.
