Abstract:

abstract A good supplement to the traditional EQA programmes using commercial QC is the example of NOKLUS Percentiler- and Flaggerprograms projects which use daily moving median results of patients’ probes. In this case, attention is paid to the limitations of this approach. The values of these daily moving median results of patients which were counted in clinically stable inpatients should be treated with caution. With this objective in mind, it is better to use outpatients especially if the scope of daily analyses is quite high (not less than 100 per each analyte). The true value of the results can only really be determined with QC data (QC, EQA) carried out with commercial materials.
