Almost all modern organizations involving in cosmetic service are forms of private property. Therefore, it is impossible to analyze social portrait of cosmetological patient since the leadership of such organizations is not interested to demonstrate clearly commercial activity, does not provide real information about negotiability of patients with dermatoses and age-related skin changes, cosmetic services, etc. We surveyed 130 women within a cosmetological institute in order to determine modern medical and social portrait of patient requiring cosmetic care. Modern medical-social portrait of a cosmetological patient and distinctive lifestyle features of people of different age were studied. The following features of modern cosmetological patient were established: women aged 30—49 years (30—39 years old — 26.9%, 40—49 years old — 22.3%); living in the regional center (87.6%); with higher education (82.9%; p=0.001); married (56.9%; p=0.006); having children (68.5%; 36.2% have one child, 27.6% — 2, 4.7% — 3 or more; p<0.001); employed workers (55.9%; p<0.001); with mean monthly income 21—30 and 30 thousand rubles and over per family member (by 25.2%); having a rest in hot countries or in the south of Russia annually and more often (47.3%; p<0.001). These data may be used by a leadership of cosmetology institution and cosmetologists to predict clinic’s work, improve quality of life and social activity of a modern woman.
