An individual approach to the treatment of skin wound surfaces in patients with congenital epidermolysis bullosa (CEB) is one of the most urgent problems in dermatology. Virtually every mechanical or physical action on the skin of patients diagnosed with CEB leads to formation of blisters followed by the development of erosion and scarring. In connection with the foregoing, dermatovenereologists pay special attention to the problem of selecting the most rational and sparing external therapy for the skin of patients with CEB, as well as the algorithm of wound treatment and dressing using innovative dressing materials. Objective. The study was aimed at formulating clinical features of wound surface treatment in patients with CEB. Material and methods. We assessed clinical efficacy of specialized dressing materials in complex symptomatic therapy of patients diagnosed with CEB and followed at the branches of the Moscow Regional Research and Practical Center for Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology of the Moscow City Healthcare Department in 2013—2018. Results. Optimal clinical and medico-economic effectiveness was achieved. Conclusion. Symptomatic treatment of CEB is based on prevention of blistering and other pathological changes in the skin with a set of measures, including the use of specialized protective equipment in the form of innovative dressing material.
