Preservation and restoration of human health, including the correction of involutional changes in the facial skin caused by both general biological aging processes and various endogenous or exogenous causes is one of the main tasks of aesthetic medicine. Objective — the study was aimed at developing a new method for correction of involutive changes in the facial skin by simultaneous exposure to low-intensity infrared laser radiation and platelet-rich plasma. Material and methods. The method was applied in 50 patients with involutional changes in the facial skin. The patient’s venous blood was used to obtained platelet-rich plasma fraction. Platelet-rich plasma was applied on the patient’s face with simultaneous face exposure to low-intensity infrared laser radiation using the contact-labile procedure. The total exposure time was 10 min, a total of 10—15 procedures per course. Results. Decrease in wrinkle depth, reduction of skin roughness, increase in its hydration and smoothness, decrease in pigmentation and telangiectasia were observed in patients with involutive changes in the facial skin by the end of the course of correction. Conclusions. The proposed method improves the qualitative characteristics of the skin, contribute to reduction of hyperpigmentation and elimination of telangiectasia, does not cause undesirable side effects, and improves quality of life of patients with various levels of chronoaging and photoaging signs.
