Objective — the study is aimed at assessing the incidence of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases in patients with acne conglobata. Material and methods. Toshiba nemio diagnostic ultrasound system was used to examine the abdominal and retroperitoneal organs (liver, gall bladder, pancreas) in 130 patients (including 60 females and 70 males aged 17 to 36 years) during the acute stage of acne conglobata. Duration of the disease was from 3 months to 18 years Results. Hepatosis was detected in 6.92% of patients under 25 years with acne conglobata and in 7.28% of patients with papulopustular acne. There were functional changes in the gall bladder (in the form of dyskinesia). In 17.68% of patients with acne conglobata, functional changes were accompanied by morphological changes in the form of highly dispersed suspensions, polyps, and acalculous chronic cholecystitis (2 years into the disease). Statistically significant increase in the incidence of pathological changes in the pancreas in the form of chronic pancreatitis was observed in 20% of patients with acne conglobata against 7.27% of patients with papulopustular acne. Conclusions. In summary, the incidence of hepatic and pancreatic diseases is higher in patients with acne conglobata compared to patients with papulopustular acne. Morphological changes form 2 years into the disease. Combined hepatic and pancreatic diseases develop 3 years of after onset of the disease.
