Urogenital disorders play an important role in the symptomatology of disorders occurring during menopause and postmenopausal period due to their pronounced negative impact on the quality of life of women. The incidence of the urogenital atrophy of the vulva and vagina of females progressively increases with age. This is attributed to irreversible age-related metabolic changes whose development is associated with estrogen deficiency. The treatments that are usually applied, such as systemic hormone therapy with estrogens, often can not be used in view of patients’ absolute or relative contraindications to administration of these agents and/or unwillingness of patients to take hormonal agents. These difficulties necessitate the discovery of new approaches to treatment of this disease. Vulvodynia is referred as the diseases that significantly worsens the quality of life of females. The disease represents a pain syndrome, which is the most common in females younger than 50 years, characterized by severe, burning, sharp pain occurring in response to touch or pressure on the vulvar vestibule. The article discusses the new method of adjuvant treatment of degenerative diseases of the vulva and vulvodynia in females by applying the Neodzhin topical cream.
