Abstract:

The retrospective analysis of melanoma morbidity in the Russian Federation on the basis of the data available in the federal statistical reporting forms over 2002 to 2011 suggests the poor epidemiological situation in the country. In the analyzed period, the incidence of melanoma in Russia rose 1.3-fold. The analysis with consideration for the gender characteristics of patients indicates that there were higher mortality rates among the female population in the entire analyzed period.
